32 Caliber Weapons

32 caliber weapons use ammunition that is .32 of an inch in diameter, but the length of the ammunition can vary greatly. The American colt pistol uses a pistol cartridge that has ammunition that measure .32 inches in diameter. Weapons which use this type of ammunition, can be fairly small and light. The power required to expel this size ammunition, is much less than that required for ammunition, such as 50 caliber ammunition. The American Colt pistol uses ammunition developed by John Browning, who was able to engineer modern cartridges which were reliable and effective. The 32 caliber American Colt pistol needed a smaller rim than most weapons of that type, in order to allow for reliable loading of the weapon. The manner in which the 32 ammunition was manufactured, made it popular with law enforcement agencies and military around the world. The type of weapons which use 32 caliber ammunition, are generally compact and inexpensive weapons. However, these types of weapons may not be effective in every circumstance, as compact weapons are sometimes unreliable and may not penetrate the target. As calibers get smaller, the accuracy and penetration power of the ammunition changes. However, longer 32 caliber ammunition may be as effective as larger caliber ammunition, when it is fired from quality and reliable weaponry. 32 caliber magazines may sometimes be used to convert weapons to that caliber, when specialized conversions are used on weapons. In fact, there are special conversion sleeves which allow hunting riffles to be converted to use 32 caliber ammunition.
